Robert J. Peters — Managing Partner
Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick and a member of the New Brunswick Bar since 1971, Robert is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg (BA 1968) and the University of New Brunswick (LLB 1971).
He has extensive experience in all courts within the province. Some of his professional affiliations include the Canadian Bar Association, the York-Sunbury Law Society, and the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association. Robert enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending his summers in Upper Hampstead.

D. Andrew Rouse, K.C. — Partner
Born and raised in Fredericton, Andrew was called to the Bar in 1986 after completing his education at the University of New Brunswick (BBA 1982, LLB 1985).
Andrew enjoys playing tennis and golf and has been involved with numerous local charities and organizations over the years. Some of his professional affiliations include the Canadian Bar Association, the York-Sunbury Law Society, and the Law Society of New Brunswick.
While he specializes in federal and provincial tax litigation, Andrew also has extensive experience with civil litigation, personal injury, labour and employment, wills, trusts and estates, insurance litigation, commercial litigation, and real estate litigation.

Grant M. Ogilvie, K.C.
A native of Petitcodiac, Grant was called to the Bar in 1988 and has been practising in Fredericton ever since. He has appeared at all levels of court within the province of New Brunswick. Some of his professional affiliations include the Canadian Bar Association, the York-Sunbury Law Society, and the Law Society of New Brunswick.
In his spare time, Grant enjoys driving his motorcycle and he has been extensively involved in Shotokan Karate for over 30 years.
His practice has come to involve all aspects of family law, including divorce, the drafting of separation agreements and cohabitation agreements, as well as dealing with issues of adoption, custody, access, child support, and spousal support. Although he specializes in family law, he also has extensive experience with other practice areas, including labour and employment, real estate, contracts, personal injury, criminal law, wills, estates, and trusts.

Maria M. Conroy
With roots from the Ottawa Valley, Maria now calls Fredericton home. Maria was called to the Bar in 2011 in Ontario, 2016 in New Brunswick and 2018 in Nova Scotia. Maria holds a BSocSc. (University of Ottawa, 2007), LL.B. (University of Leicester, 2009), and LL.M. (Osgoode Hall, 2011). She is currently completing her second Master’s degree (MBA) at UNB Fredericton where she studies part-time.
With extensive experience in various areas of law, Maria is primarily engaged in the practice of family law. She offers clients various forms of dispute resolution, including collaborative law, mediation, and litigation. Maria is a contract instructor with the faculty of Law at UNB Fredericton where she teaches Family Law. She also teaches the Introduction to Family Violence course offered at UNB through the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research. Maria sits on the board of directors for the YMCA of Fredericton.

Jennifer L. Hanson
Jennifer was born and raised in the Acadian community of Wedgeport in Nova Scotia. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from l'Université de Moncton in 2009 and her Juris Doctor from that same university in 2012.
Jennifer began working at Peters Rouse during the summer of 2011, continued to work with the firm during her final year of law school, and completed her articles. Jennifer was called to the Bar in June 2013 when she joined Peters Rouse as an associate.
Jennifer is fluently bilingual, having completed her education in French. She is a member of the Association des Juristes d'expression française du Nouveau-Brunswick.
Jennifer is specializing in family law, more specifically divorce, separation, cohabitation agreements, custody, and child support. She also has experience in personal injury, civil litigation, real estate law, wills, and estates.

Emma W.E. Ogilvie
Born and raised in Fredericton, Emma graduated from St. Thomas University with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology in 2013. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick in 2020.
Emma joined Peters Rouse in 2019 as a law student and ultimately as an articling student. She was called to the New Brunswick bar in 2021.
Emma is primarily engaged in the practice of family law, including divorce, separation, cohabitation agreements, parenting time, and child support.
Outside of the office, Emma enjoys coaching cheerleading and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Maddison Smith
Maddison was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University in 2017 and her L.L.B. from the University of Sussex in 2020.
